I like that phrase, and I think people should use it often. Learn it in as many languages as possible and take it with you wherever you go. It's personal, to the point and can mean a whole lot between two people in the right setting. It can also mean nothing, and I kind of like that about it too, but it's best when used deliberately and with zest. So, with the closing of the MAKR shop-in-shop and the launch of the Scout website, I want to take a moment to do just that.

To everyone who cheered us on, who told their friends about us, who put in time, effort, and money to get Scout off the ground, thank you. I have never in my career been surrounded by so many talented, smart, selfless and inspiring people. We couldn't have done it without you.

Mike Wilkie & Jenn Birdsall

These two operate quietly behind the scenes on some of the most incredible brands out there. I have had the pleasure of working with them for many years - they are simply the best at what they do. They put a superhuman number of hours into Scout and helped us turn a little idea into something real.

Jason Gregory & MAKR

The MAKR brand has been influential to me personally for some time and it was surreal to find myself hanging out and working with Jason and his fantastic team all of a sudden. They proved to be every bit as hard working and fun having as you would expect, but at the root of it just sincere, honest and good people. They gave us feedback on products, put us in touch with vendors, came camping with us in the Northwest and gave us the best send off we could ever hope for with a shop-in-shop on Makr.com. I look forward to hanging with these guys for a long time to come.

Oak Street Bootmakers

For the past year and a half I've known George Vlagos as the owner of Oak Street Bootmakers and as one of the few other people who believed in Scout and really did a lot to make sure it went somewhere. In that time I've come to know him as an amazing business and footwear resource and a friend. I am really proud of the Traveler Boot that we created and excited to work together on future footwear products for Scout.
